The EU is the stronghold of virtuous showmanship and moralizing blather. No sack of rice can fall over somewhere in the world without the technocratic virtue braggers from Brussels having to put in their two cents. Whether it's the elections in Brazil, the U.S., Italy, Poland or Hungary, the EU's steam talkers feel compelled to comment everywhere.

But not if a German court annuls the elections to the Berlin House of Representatives because of gross errors and violations. Apparently, Germany would like to be treated with kid gloves here. After all, Germany, as the largest donor, has always been fattening up the Brussels club with its taxpayers' money.
